4 quick tips for cover letters

Job seekers often overlook the cover letter as a way to grab the recruiters attention. Here are 4 quick tips for writing a great cover letter.

1. Match the requirements of the job, one by one, to your qualifications.
2. Be brief. Brevity is key. Try keeping the length to a half page or shorter.
3. Name your referral. If you've been referred by someone, mention this in the first line.
4. Follow Business Writing Rules. Write in coherent, fluid sentences. Leave out the flowery language and never include personal details such as marital status or hobbies
